SciFest 2015

SciFest1

John Scottus was represented by 5 students from second year at SciFest. After weeks of preparation on their science investigation Emma Lohan and Anna Nakonechnyy’s investigation ‘IQ Chew’ and Isobel Kelliher, Aiza Revazova, Tien Le’s investigation ‘Tune In or Turn Down’ went all the way to the Scifest competition at the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown.

SciFest’s aim is to encourage a love of science, technology and maths through active, collaborative, inquiry-based learning and to provide a forum for students at local, regional and national level to present and display their scientific investigations.

It was a great day and the atmosphere was electric. The two groups got the opportunity to present their projects to the judges and to the public.

The school are extremely proud of their accomplishment and are delighted with the success of these particular students and the effort that all students put into their projects!
