The school’s Ultimate Frisbee teams played their opening games in the Dublin School Ultimate Frisbee league. The boys’ team travelled down to Nass where they played a blitz against two teams from Nass and two teams from Gonzaga. The boys finished the blitz with two wins and two losses. The girls’ team made the short trip over to Muckross Park College. The girls had three fixtures to play and after a difficult start against the Muckross A team they had good wins against Muckross B and a good win in a very competitive match against Hartstown.
At this stage in the year all students have had the opportunity to take part in Taekwondo sessions given by Niamh Buffni from South Dublin Taekwondo. Later on in the school year if the interest is there Niamh will be brought back in and sessions will be held afterschool and any students interested will be more than welcome to attend.
So far this school year has been a very enjoyable one for sport in John Scottus. Students have participated in a variety of different sports in numerous locations and hopefully 2016 will be equally as enjoyable
