John Scottus Primary School, Old Conna, Rathmichael, is looking for a class teacher, to start 17th August 2017 at our newly developing, private funded school.
Your role will be to develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children, according to age, ability and aptitude and according to the education principles of the John Scottus Educational Trust (JSET).
We are looking for a dynamic, creative and entrepreneurial person to join our start up team, offering a unique education to our young pupils, a person who is interested in your own personal growth and that of the children you teach.
JSET is patron of John Scottus Secondary and Primary schools which have been operating successfully for over 30 years in Dublin 4. We are now opening a new school on the 14 acre site at Old Conna and starting with a junior and senior infants only in 2017. In addition to the core competencies of the national curriculum you will be expected to facilitate the child’s learning in: the ethos of John Scottus, practices for stillness, nature study and the environment, language, music and the creative arts and physical well-being and healthy eating. While it is advertised as fixed term it is anticipated that it will become a permanent position.
