5th Class Boys wrote poems about items invented during the Renaissance
Here is a taster from Leo Maguire.
Madmen and dreamers push open the gate,
Like Gutenberg born in 1398.
A short sixty years with vision unstinting,
He created an art that was known as printing.
Gutenberg’s work changed who we are,
His art of printing is better by far.
The great door to learning is opened ajar,
And many say that Gutenberg’s art and invention of the printing press is the best one so far.
