Mealtimes
Mealtimes are more than just physical nourishment and are free from rush.
Children learn to serve each other, to converse with each other and to help tidy up.
Children enjoy a balanced, nutritious, vegetarian diet. Our snacks comprise fresh fruit, wholemeal bread and crackers. Our hot lunches are provided by The Happy Pear

School Structures
Our school comprises two classes.
Our two-classroom setup ensures that each child receives personalised attention and tailored education.
Hazel Class (Ages 4-8): Our younger learners thrive in a play-based environment that nurtures creativity, curiosity, and social skills. Through hands-on exploration, they build a strong foundation for future learning while engaging with the national curriculum in a balanced and age-appropriate manner. We also prioritise building confidence and fluency in core subjects such as Irish, English, and Maths, alongside the broader national curriculum.
Oak Class (Ages 9-12): We prioritise building confidence and fluency in core subjects such as Irish, English, and Maths, alongside the broader national curriculum. Critical thinking and problem-solving are at the heart of our approach, encouraging students to achieve their full potential academically. The older children delve deeper into subject matter, exploring complex concepts and honing their skills. We also prepare them for the transition to secondary school, fostering independent study habits and self-discipline.
Daily Life
We place a strong emphasis on children getting outside and connecting with nature.
Children play outside in all weathers and we are very fortunate to have such a spacious, green school garden with lots of mature trees.
Outdoor playtime involves making mud pies, digging for treasure, building dens and climbing trees not to mention all the other imaginative games that involve, dragons, fairies, wizards and wolves and of course lots and lots of running.
