The boy’s 1st/2nd Year team took part in the school’s first-ever basketball fixture v Sandyford Park School. The boy’s started the game very strongly scoring the first 3 baskets of the game. Sandyford came back with 2 baskets of their own to finish the first half with the score 6-4 to John Scottus. Both schools started the 2^nd half fast, scoring a basket each in the opening minutes. In the last 7 minutes of the match, John Scottus raised their game with some excellent fast breaks which resulted in 4 unanswered baskets. The final result was John Scotts 14 – 6 Sandyford Park, meaning our school progresses to the next round of the cup. Throughout the game, the boys gave 100% effort and commitment as well as supporting one another, well done.
