John Scottus is in the process of becoming an Active Flag school as an area of active living, healthy lifestyle and physical well being. The award recognises schools that strive to achieve a physical educated and physically active school community. Linda Broaders is spearheading this process which is pretty much “business as usual” for JSS excellent Sports and PE department.
Criteria Include:
- Provision of the correct PE timetable provision as per DES Guidelines
- Inform and invite the whole school community in participate in the ASF process
- Commit to a process of self-evaluation and review current provision across 15 areas
- Plan and implement improvements that will enhance PE and physical activity provision for all students
