Pamiers 2015: story so far

Quel joli séjour jusqu’à ce point là. Great trip so far and we’ve packed a lot in to a few days. From back to front is a trip to the beautiful medieval “bastide” or castle in Carcasonne, singing “Heads, Shoulders, Knees & Toes” and taking various French classes in our host school, going to a beautiful French market in Mirepoix and everyone spending time with their host families doing everything from bowling to visiting a local fire-station.

Pamiers is a small town in the Department of Arièges. It’s surrounded by the snow-capped Pyrenees and a significant number of medieval castles and 13th century villages, which have something to do with constant in fighting between religious groups and the French royalty.

We’re still looking forward to three more days visiting Spanish, music, art, French and English classes in École Jean XXIII, more half-day trips and a pot luck dinner on Friday evening. We’re already preparing some rowdy renditions of Molly Malone and the Auld triangle. They even found a fiddle for Mr Telford to play! Samedi; chers parents et collègues!
