Sports October Update

TaeKwonDoThe girls Junior hockey team have been training every Wednesday since the start of term and are competing in the Leinster Schoolgirls Hockey League. They have played one match which was away to Loreto Bray and got a brilliant result winning the game 1-0.

The boys soccer team have also been training every Wednesday down in Pembroke with matches against local schools expected to start after the mid-term break.

Both a boys and girls ultimate Frisbee teams will be formed after the mid-term. John Scottus is entered in the Dublin Schools Ultimate league. All students are welcome as teams are open to both Senior and Junior students.

Students in 4th Year have begun taking a Taekwondo class. All students in the school will get the opportunity to experience a block of Taekwondo classes during their sport program from a professional Taekwondo instructor. Once these blocks have finished Taekwondo will be made available to students as an extra-curricular activity and students will be given the opportunity to advance their learning in this area.
