Last friday all classes from Junior Infants to 4th class took part in 10@10.
Thank you to all who donated shoe boxes so generously. There was utter joy experienced by all the children as they gave with such open hearts.
The boys u13 footballers were unlucky in their shield semi final. They were defeated 3-8 to 0-3 against a very good St Patrick’s Ringsend team.
Another awesome win by the John Scottus girls. The girls are now through to the semi finals and are one win away from a final day in Croke Park.
On Wednesday afternoon we had our Green School Recycled Goods Fashion show in the back yard.
Last Friday the 10th June 2nd – 6th class had their sports day in Irishtown Stadium in Ringsend.
Last week the school was awarded a Science Foundation of Ireland Discover Science and Maths Plaque of STEM Excellence for the 2015/16 academic year.
In keeping with our Green School Action Plan the next upcoming event is our fashion show. All the children will be making clothes and/or accessories using recycled goods.
On Friday the 22nd April the girls and boys in JS wore sun glasses into school and donated €2 to a very worthy cause.
On Friday the 22nd of April all the children and teachers went out into our community for National Spring Clean Day.
The First Year girls and boys were very pleasantly surprised when they visited The Helix Theatre in DCU last Thursday to see Cyclone Rep’s performance of Romeo and Juliet.
