On the 15th of March every school in Ireland celebrated Proclamation Day (Flag Day) in memory of the 1916 Easter Rising.

As part of the 1916 Centenary programme many schools around Ireland were asked to write a new proclamation looking into the future.
6th Class girls have been very busy this term.
DD-television –a national Broadcasting station for India- asked John Scottus Primary School to perform a famous poem by Adi Shankara with Western Music.

On Friday the 18th of December all the children and teachers in the Primary School celebrated their festive day with lovely festive outfits.
Two members of the Defence Forces came to visit us on Wednesday the 2nd of December.
The teachers in the primary school have been participating in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) programme over the last few weeks.
During the summer the school was given an Irish rugby jersey from Eoin Reddan. The jersey ws signed by all the Irish players.
