Third year students visited Dublin Zoo Education Centre on Wednesday 16^th September 2015.  They carried out the ecology module which is a part of the mandatory experiments for Junior Certificate Science. The students studied a natural habitat in Phoenix Park and compiled a comprehensive fieldwork report to help them understand different concepts in ecology. The habitat study involved the students collecting and identifying small animals using equipment such as pooters, sweep nets and pitfall traps and studying plants native to the grassland habitat.
