During the week 5th class visited the Irish Aid Centre. They did some drumming, sang a Swahili song, danced and had a workshop about the U.
Elisabeth in 3rd Class had an Irish dancing feis on Sunday and she did very well. She won one of her dances and was regarded which means a lot to her.
Mr Sheils received news last week that John Scottus Primary School have been awarded the Plaque of STEM Excellence this year, for the 4th year in a row.
Stephanie from the Irish Guide Dogs Association was in touch to extend a huge thank you to all the children for their fantastic achievement in raising the amount of money they did for their charity.

The Sanskrit Assembly took place on Tuesday morning with the Indian Ambassador to Ireland, Mrs Singh, and her First Secretary, Mrs Shukla, in attendance.

The theme of Art week this week was Movement. Every day the children spent time exploring drawing in their Art Week Booklet.
On Saturday Tri Nhien from 4th Class Boys did very well in the Sutton Park ‘Young Musician’ competition.
Last week in school we celebrated Speech Week. Each class learned a piece by William Shakespeare and performed it in Assembly throughout the week.
