The JSS Annual Writing Competition

The annual writing competition is significant in the school calendar, allowing students to delve deep into their imaginations and take time to reflect and create. All genres were welcome, and the theme for this year was ‘Being Surprised‘. Students took pen to paper and created beautiful essays, poems, rap flows and short stories. The winner Elijah Allen (6th year) for his short story ‘Just the Beginning’ was announced at our Speech and Prize Giving event on Tuesday, May 16.  Thanks to all the students for their participation and well done to Elijah! Overall, creativity, reflection and standard of expression is thriving amongst our student body.  Well done! Keep writing, keep reflecting and continue creating!
