Bring a Book, Buy a Book was an important event run in the secondary school by the 1st year girls. The aim of the event was to promote literacy in the school and to raise funds for St Michael’s House. St Michael’s is an organisation which helps people with educational difficulties. Students and staff were asked to donate a book from home and to buy a book for €2.
The event brought out lively discussions about the merits of various books. A special thanks to Ms. Katryn Breen for organizing the event.
