Our TY students participated in an environmental awareness prorgramme run by Sonairte in Co, Louth.

The first time we visited Sonairte it was wet and rainy out, but still we had a great time. Nestled by the fire, we shared our thoughts on human needs and emotions before heading out into nature. Under the grey skies we played games
to keep us warm and tasted herbs in the vegetable garden. We then embarked on a river walk, upon which I learned to keep my eyes open and appreciate my surroundings.I loved being at Sonairte; it has a very safe and supportive environment. You do not feel pressured and it allows you to learn and progress in your own way. Thanks to our leaders, Sarah and Nicola, the day was a success and I left feeling calm and invigorated at the same time. – Persephone.
