Bye Bye Mrs Broaders

Mrs Broaders was given a wistful send-off just before school was dismissed for Christmas break. She is off to warmer climes to live in Trinidad and Tobago for a few years.

On Wednesday the 25th March the first year students will be organising an initiative called ‘Bring a book, Buy a book’.

Creative Engagement Arts Grants The school as been successful in getting two Creative Engagement Arts Grants funded by the Department of Arts and Department of Education and Skills.

Feeder Schools

Feeder School Tables 2014 The feeder school tables, 2014, were published on Nov 27. The tables indicate that John Scottus School have a 61 % progression rate to third level colleges.

Sports Update

JSS senior mixed and junior mixed ultimate frisbee teams travelled to Hartstown community school for the first round of the Dublin Schools mixed league division.

Book Club Choice

There will a student and staff book club event during literacy week in the first week of December. The chosen book is Wonder by R.

Learn A New Language

Why not learn a new (and very old) language. JSS parents are invited to a nine week Sanskrit course starting on Tuesday 30th September.
